I’d like to think I’m not taking photos of your art, I’d like to think I’m making art with you, that I’m your partner, that I complement what you do. That is my goal as an artist.

So, sometimes I stop and think, why I do this, what is that drives me to spend so much time behind the camera, what it is that makes me put so much into it. Why I keep pushing to get it better and better every time. Why I go nuts when things are not perfect, why I shoot and reshoot until I get it right.
I think is just about feeling good, do something that it is gratifying, making people happy, and help them to show what they do in the best possible way. The small details, the right light, the perfect color, the right combination of all of this, it is what make my photos what they are, not just images.
When I’m at the studio taking photos of your art, I think is the moment where I disconnect from everything out there, and I connect with myself.
That is why each photo is a new challenge, and every time I finish one and see that is well received by people, or that it helps and artist to get out there and get an award, or get into a show, I feel I did something good for someone. It just makes me happy.
When a client send me a thank you note, or call me to say how happy is with the photos, that just makes my day. And THAT is what makes me put so much dedication on each photo, and treat each piece I photograph, like the very unique piece that it is.
